Student News – Daichi’s trip to Australia!

Bond English student Daichi recently went to Cairns and Sydney in Australia, let’s see his interesting pics and hear about what he did!

Daichi took a night flight from Osaka to Cairns on Jet Star, leaving Osaka at 9pm and arriving in Cairns at 5am.

Day 1:

Daichi walked around Cairns, and found some cool alleys with interesting graffiti, and some random cool stickers.

And went to see the famous free pool.

At night, Daichi saw an incredible bubble machine filling the air with bubbles, very interesting lighting effects!

He also saw an area of illuminated mangrove trees.

And had some cafe-latte gelato.

Day 2:

Daichi went to the Great Barrier Reef to see the coral and tropical fish, 熱帯魚, but didn’t take any pics!

Day 3:

Daichi went to Kuranda National Park, and took a gondola!

And saw a Kangaroo relaxing, and a large crocodile!

Also the classic koala.

And took a boat tour of the river:

Daichi also rode a train featured on the Japanese TV show Sekai No Shaso Kara, 世界の車窓から, which in English means ‘the view from the windows of trains in other countries’.

Day 4:

Daichi took another night flight from Cairns to Sydney, only about 2-hours. No UFO’s were spotted!

Day 5:

A busy day!
In Sydney, Daichi went to Bills and got some fantastic pancakes, whoa looks GOOD!

And saw a friendly black cat and a friendly bird too.

He went to a shopping mall in the beautiful Queen Victoria Building, with it’s Romanesque Revival architecture style:

And saw a cool clock tower in similar architectural style:

And then rode the Sydney tram system

to the Sydney Opera House, designed by Danish architect Jorn Itzon:

And saw a seagull, カモメ, right before it got dark:

Day 6:

Daichi took a nature trip to Blue Mountains National Park. There are several famous rock formations there, including King’s Table. There’s no guard-rail there, so please don’t slip, it’s a long drop!

And the 3-sisters:

Daichi also rode a VERY STEEP train, with a 60-degree incline:

And ate a kangaroo-meat pie:
