Bond English student Roku recently made some incredible decorations and sweets for the 2024 Holiday Season. Let’s hear his interesting story, as written by Roku!
Roku decided to throw a holiday party for his lovely girlfriend. He decorated his apartment with balloons, a Santa Claus figure, a Christmas tree, and he actually made an entire custom fireplace!
The fireplace was the most difficult to make, which took three hours to complete. The fireplace was made of cardboard (ダンボール), and wallpaper printed in brick (レンガ)!
Roku also made some incredible sweets: edible pine cones! Have you ever seen anything like it? Very creative Roku!
Let’s check his recipe:
1. Crush 15 Oreo cookies in a bowl.
2. Add a little milk to the crushed Oreos. This is the dough.
3. Knead the dough into pine cone shapes and add the cereal, in this case chocolate cornflakes, onto the dough.
4. Sprinkle some powdered sugar on top, and, finished!
That night Roku enjoyed spending time with his girlfriend, by doing a puzzle,
and watching the famous Christmas movie Home Alone.
The next day, Roku got up early, and put a letter from Santa and a present for his girlfriend on the fireplace.
Roku played the role of Santa perfectly, as if he was the famous actor Tom Cruise. And actually, Roku looks very similar to Tom Cruise:
So if you should see Roku in the future, please call him ‘Tom’. He will be very happy!
Surprisingly, after all this impressive effort, Roku’s girlfriend did not show any great appreciation or enthusiasm for Roku’s party, because Roku often makes similar theme surprise parties like this for his girlfriend, and she has gotten used to his ultra-creativity. But, Roku is still excited to spend time with his darling for years to come. She’s a lucky girl indeed!
