The 2026 Sakura season is finally winding down, after weeks of gorgeous cherry blossoms and Hanami parties!
After the peak bloom point, if there comes a good amount of rainy weather, many of the blossoms will fall onto a wet ground, creating perfect conditions to make Sakura sculptures (彫刻)!!
Justin took a basic broom:

And used it to make this sculpture titled ‘Sakura Continuum’.
Check it out here, interesting!

Also this past week, Justin drove to Tokyo, passing by Mt. Fuji, on the Shin-Tomei highway:

And while driving near Hamamatsu, Justin saw a dramatic scene, with the mountains surrounding Fuji San slowly arcing down to the flat beaches of Japan’s coastline. It was here, that Justin felt compelled to take a picture of the massive ocean scene, but, after looking at the photo more carefully, he noticed something strange. Can you zoom in to see what the object truly is? Nice photographic timing Justin!!
